At 8.30pm on 28 March 2009, cities and towns across the world will turn off their lights for one hour sending a powerful global message that we can meet the challenge of climate change. In what the organisers hope will be the world’s largest mass participation event, WWF’s Earth Hour 2009 hopes to involve one billion people in more than 1,000 cities around the globe, including 32 New Zealand towns, cities and districts. more infos
